We tend to think of immobility as a quality of things. Proust thought that this tendency was an imposition. Our thought translated into certainty makes things mere immobile objects. Proust revealed two things. On the one hand, that our thinking is immobilized as a result of the certainty produced by stagnant ideas. On the other, that habit works slowly in its precarious installation with which it immobilizes everything. But what happens if we break that habit? Things start to move. Our thinking too. Collage is an invitation to dynamism. Every time we find an object, we can convert it, transform it. Perhaps it is not enough to introduce collage in other formats but to introduce them in a great mental architecture. It’s like Kurt Schwitters did with Merzbau. Some of the objects that you will find here are intervention experiments, and assemblies with wood, fruit, plastics, metals, cardboard, and fabrics. Altering its form or its content is part of the game.
